Legoland, when I was able to visit it finally, quickly became one of my most favorite theme parks in the world. Yes, it is a different type of theme park. It has a couple of rides, for children of course, but that’s what the park is primarily for, children. The use of Legos is absolutely incredible at Legoland. They’ve been able to recreate so many sights, monuments, locations of Europe, statues and animals that I dare anyone to go there and not go away absolutely amazed at what they see there.
Some of the parts are older and have been there since the park opened a long time ago. However, they do add something new every year. Last summer it was an oil platform out in the North Sea, completer with whales, boats, and crewmen.
The best part of the park for kids is the driving course. Here kids go on a fifteen minute drive on a driving course with other kids to learn the rules of the European road. Cars are made of Legos and powered by battery. At the end, they receive a license. The course comes complete with cops, emergency crews, and supervision that can speak just about every major European language. Take a camera, a picnic lunch your children and your imagination to truly enjoy this park.
